Sequence
In News photography, we are taught to tell a story with a picture. but when its a layout, there is an opportunity to move through a subject and get inside of it a little. Sequences can be beginning, middle, and end-- a chronology, they can be points of view from outside and inside a subject, or a sequence can be about context. Closeup, medium shot closeup, reestablish. These are film terms but apply to storytelling in any form. It also helps when each shot tells a story. Sometimes it's just about the evidence present in the subject itself, like this Conestoga wagon in Bend, OR.
