A Word About Landscape
A sense of place, a story, a moment. These are all elements I like to see in a landscape photograph. I also like to mystify them too. The stone above was moonlike and fundamentally touchable. The middle shot, taken at the Painted Hills, was a moment of light with a surface that was a feast for my eyes, and a fragment of the place, inviting guesswork. At the bottom, I loved the UFO cloud seemingly pushing the tree over, adding comedy to a tragic scene, but a natural one nevertheless.
All moments, all contributing to a sense of place, and all with a little story.
